Subject: Happy Thanksgiving minna-san! ^_^
My grandparents all came over for Thanksgiving... and of course the first things they notice about me is my height and my having grown out my hair longer than usual... but they all seem to have pointed out that my face looks slimmer. So my parents noted that they all noticed this (I guess my parents didn't cuz they see me every day) and got all worried. So I weighed myself and hey whaddya know... I've lost 9 pounds in the past few months. I told them I lost 8. They freaked, the asian parents that they are, and now they're gonna stare at me as I eat probably. I guess I'm workin' on them "Freshmen 15." Oh well, it's Thanksgiving night, so I've probably already gained some of that back. :)

I'm thankful for family and friends who support me through stressful times, caffeine, and gravity. And you?

What am I thankful for this year? Imported American turkey. Some other Americans and I managed to have a Thanksgiving feast here in Japan!

I need to emphasize "import." We had to get in overnight express shipped packed in dry ice from America to Japan. There are no turkeys in Japan. hehe. We're not crazy. no...

My geography professor was telling us about how Japan had to import most of its goods, since there's virtually no resources on the islands. I didn't realize they'd need turkeys too, hehe.
