Well I think you should worry about your friends if they're in trouble. They need your help.

For instance, if I was suicidal and decided to walk in front of a llama stampede, I would HOPE that you wouldn't just be like "Ahh, it doesn't matter, at least I'M ok" and that you would be like "Stop llamas, stop!"

nicole, honey, "spooning" is not the same as sex. spooning is merely cuddling with clothes on. As urbandictionary.com states, spooning is "A form of affection between a couple. Where the man lays front to back with the girl. They fit together like spoons." Although it also mentioned something about a sexual position used in prison.... but that was like WAYY down at the bottom, meaning that most users didn't think of it that way. I DON'T WANT SEX! As for the anime porn, it's true... A lot of manga is very.. er... perverted, but trustme it gets worse. If it bugs you, stay away from yaoi and of course, hentai. Yeeah... but from what I hear the Yaoi Con staff members are pretty nice (not that I have hentai or yaoi, I've heard stories from people who went to eh big Fanime Con with the Yaoi booth haha)

First of all, I don't think I understand one word that Deanna was talking about! I guess I'm just too anime-challenged. Oh well.

Second thing: While I do agree with the "anime is cartoon porn" thing, I must say that Disney also follows this trend. Why, you ask? Think about! A group of overly-horny middle-aged men sit in a room all day making up these cartoons! For instance, look at the original cover to Little Mermaid (they changed it because the artist drew one of the towers to look like a penis.

I agree with ali and everyone its just that given certian situations, not all situations, sometimes the person needs to get themselves help, or well...want to get help...i dont know what situation your friend is in, but if they are in a sucidal llama situation ...yea waving arms etc. would be good...ok point is every problem or issue your friends have is going to be unique and there is not one aswer for every problem your friends, no matter how much you love them, have.

okay ya know what? i've made a decision. i don't agree with a word of that. i've been told by too many people that when someone has a serious issue, THEY NEED TO GET HELP. i trust the advice of professionals a HELL OF A LOT MORE than ppl my age.

so yeah. not quite sure what i'm gonna do yet, but i'm not gonna buy the 'it's not right to get certain people help' bit if i have suicidal friends.

As some of you already know... I completely agree with Melissa on that issue. Most people that are that depressed DON'T and WON'T ever want to get help. If their friends don't tell anyone, it will just get worse.

Now, I have NO IDEA who Mel is even talking about, but I most definately agree with her!

okay. so. after rereading my post, i don't understand why everyone's freaking out. the only part having anything to do with worrying about ppl is: Sometimes I just want to be held and told that everything is alright. I want someone to listen to me talk about people in my life who need help. I want someone to pat me on the head and let me fall into their arms and stay there until the problems go away.

(*It's not like my personal life has issues, it's that I know people who aren't so stable and it really worries me.)

Mel i agree with you, people do need to get help, and go you for getting this person help, and im not saying that you should not get certian people help, im just saying that you can do what you what, when you want, just know what your getting into cause every situation is a little different and you want to do more good than harm.. cause things, not matter how good thier intention can backfire. So all in all, more power to ya, go get this person help, just think it through so you end up helping your friend, not accendently in the process hurting them. By the way im not trying to blow anything up im just trying to clarify that i agree with all of you and though you may not get what im saying, thats kind of what im trying to say. i think.
