Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And 'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling, slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

I'll care when Clinton-appointed judges stop ordering my government to release photos of the abuses at Abu Ghraib, which are sure to set off the Islamic extremists just as Newsweek's lies did a few weeks ago.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college hazing incident, that assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and -- you guessed it -- I don't care!

i have so much to say, 08-17-05 11:56pm

Well if you wrote the stated above i give you credit, that is alot of words. I wil only point out a few things i dont agree with b/c truthfully get your facts straight. Grouping and generalizing a religion as terrorist is the most closed minded thing i have ever head. not all Muslim, Arab, Non-american people are terrorist. I take this personally b/c being open minded makes this country. We are fighting a war...Why are we in Iraq, The "terrorist" where not in Iraq when we declarded a war of Terror. Not a war on Iraq. I am tired of people supporting this wasr just b/c a world leader said we should.and have clouded our good and sound judgement with alot of lies and promises. As americans we are to help not opress. and how is killing people not opressing. Yes lets throw a Trillion dollars, raise our own taxes here in this country to kill not only people in Iraq but our own soliders. I have 2 cousins in Iraq, Thankfully My 22 year cousin is home for now, she came home with her life and limbs unlike 1000's of soliders. ( can we say the second Vietnam) she didnt want to go their, but she had to. She had to b/c she used the Marines as a way to pay for school (the price of education)
Ok now to the Koran. If someoen took the Bible and did what US soliders did to the Koran, as the wonderful great Christian America we have become we would of gone crazy. That is someones religion someones faith someones connection and to take it and make a mockery of it is a shame on our country. What if someone took the American flag and burned it. We would go crazy and want to kill them b/c its aprt of our country. And to take somethig of a religion and treat it with such disrespect is truthfully a sin., So in reading your little rant I find it sad and appaling to anyone who reads it that you can be so closed minded to the situation that is around you. Its called Respect. not respect for people (the small number of them) who are terrozing other people. But Respect for thoes who are open minded to the fact that This America has fallen off of its founding fathers, its bill of rights, its melting pot, its democarcy, and its integrity.
YOu might get pissed at me, but thats my opinion b/c lets face it i speak my mind! I could go on and on but thats just the tip of the surface for me.

ok. i honestly believe that kunta. you did not write this. too many words for you, and the puncustion was too good. now that other dude saying blah blah blah. obviously isnt american. I understand that not all non-american people are terrorists and such, and i'm not saying that they are. i agree with you there, though i do not like non-americans (its just my way). but i think this war was needed. i mewan if you look at it we did cathc saddaam and killed his family which is a plus. a lot of good came from this war, and yes a lot of bad also but for christs sake its war. The reason i say you're not an american is because if you were a true american you would support the United States on everything they do right or wrong. I think the war is a great idea, I think that bush may be going about it all wrong, and shouldn't be cautious. clean them all out. what do you they do for us?. i wish i could go over there and shoot some damn camel fuckers myself.

Re: Re: Re: i have so much to say, 08-18-05 6:28pm

number one iam not a dude, and number 2 yes iam an american....just to let you know. Being an american means having an opinion, which I have. I do not support this country in evey way. When somethign is wrong it is wrong period. I do not have to support something i belive is morally and spiritual Corrupt and wrong. Take a US History class or book and read what wrongs our country has done. History is repeating ourselves. and Why would I support something, just to say LOOK AT ME IAM AN AMERICAN, there is so much more to it than that. Also why are we fighthing thier war? we are not winning a thing by people over there, besides wanting to be an even more domintate forces in this world...we are globlazing this world day by day. Nothing is its own and America is to blame for most of it. b/c we want too much power
its amazing as long as someone is killing someone its great to you? that is amazing. Do you not understand that knocking out Sadamm's family means nothing. That blod line thoes thoughts run deep it doesnt matter b/c there are people who know jsut as much if not more than what Sadamm and his people know...Also Fing a Damn map and look up where this war is in realation were terrorits cells are? What good has come form this war? I would love to know! If you can give me any idea what has been a postive gain for this counrty then i could possibly see some aspect of your point. I do agree with Pres Bush going about ti the wrong way...i do agree with you on that :...and if you want to go over their and shoot people, go ahead. you will be crying to come back the moment you get there...That is no place to live or die, especially if you dont fully understand the reason

Liberals run from danger, see all terrorist attacks under Clinton administration, they treat terrorists as criminals instead of terrorists. Clinton had the chance to have Bin Laden he turned the down the offer for the number one terrorist, gee that was smart. Just because CBS or CNN tells you the war is bad does'nt mean that is right. Don't blame Bush for taking the fight overseas, Liberal wimps think we should pull back and give up well not under the watch of the proud Amercian soldiers who are fighting so that you speakyourmind can do exactly that. so whether you disagree with the troops or not, do not disgrace their mission.

I Never said i disagree with the soliders, As i stated before I said i have 2 cousins over thier and i am not disgracing them by not agreeing with the thier mission, a mission mind you many of them dont agree with themselves. I do however agree with you on the fact that the clinton admin knew about what was going on and the presidents before that knew also. So no iam not placing "blame" on bush, but iam however blaming him for making such a hasty and irrational decison about going to war. For me personally the attcks of 9/11 and the war in Iraq have no conncection or bias with one another. There are jsut answers iam looking for and answers I have never been given. So dont say I am disgracing anyone. I hate the right to disagree weather you or anyone eles want to call be UnAmerican. Sorry thats something you cant take away from anyone. and i will never apologize for being a Liberal!

Get a job? you coulndt think of anything better to say to someone with an opinion....
I can bash who I want , when I want , and on whatever topic I want. So to you, I have an opinion. And having a job has nothing to do with having an opinion.

some of fayette county's finest, been under democrat control for decades, your war hero John Kerry said the same about the war that Bush did only to change his mind about 50 times. We can fight the Islamic Radicals on their turf or ours. If Bush is so terrible, why did Kerry lose? Kerry lost because people saw what he was a typical liberal deserter who aided the enemy just like you are doing. Don't you dare try to make this war about oil or about personal feelings, this war has freed many Iraqis from a brutal dictator. If you can't be open minded enough to see that then I feel sorry for you. Kerry said they WMD's, Clinton said it, but oh my the president said it and he is a liar. Go listen to the bankrupt Air America or support Micheal Moores eating habits. As far as using military for paying for college, if you are stupid enough to sign up thinking you may not be deployed that is your fault. It is called using the system, much like welfare. Talking about the right to disagree, in Iraq with Saddam in power if you disagree you would be raped then killed, shame on you for wanting to deny others the freedom we enjoy everyday.

i had a long deal typed out, but iam done typing the views i have. I have them, they wont change unless someone comes to me with solid facts in a book, in about 50 years. i respect everyone and thier views. But dont agree with them entirley. So it was cool eventhough it was about 6 people vs. 1. but yeah iam not going to beat this subject with a dead horse. I dont agree with you, you dont agree with me. That is what makes America what it is. Truly Amazing and wonderful It was great that so many people spoke thier minds although i think you all are full of shit....:) just joking. Great conversation you all have a nice day

crews.. the first anonymous was a badass motherfucker and the rest of the anonymous' were jason taft. this is obvious by the way they speak. imagine their voices and re-read those responses. anyways, war kicks ass. i agree with anonymous badass #1. we should kill as much as possible and whenever possible, and then eat beef jerky and drink beer like real men. i would recommend dropping the bomb on these camel-jocky motherfuckers and televising the aftermath, but then we would run the risk of our gas prices going even high because we would most likely destroy the oil supply (which would be horseshit). driving kicks ass, so cheap gas kicks ass. we should kill all the baby seals in alaska and get some oil from there too. fuck baby seals. don't get me wrong here, i am not pro-war. however, i am pro-kicking ass. if you do not look at this as a "war on terror", but rather as an "ultimate fighting championship on a grander scale", you will be able to be entertained. entertainment kicks ass.

as far as the rest of these posts go, from caitlin and from taft.. you guys get way too political over this. all politicians are liars, whether they be liberal or conservative. those terms are used too loosely. they should probably be changed to "bullshitter" and "crook", respectively. but whatever, i don't want to get into the politics of the war, etc, because politics are bullshit. all i am concerned with here is kickin' ass, which takes place everyday in iraq. we need more guns and bombs. i'd be willing to pay higher taxes if they would give our soldiers bigger weapons, cases of beer, and rations of beef jerky, and then televised what they chose to do with these items. hell, i'm sure most americans would agree with me. they might not admit to it, but watching war on TV, eating meat, and drinking beer kicks ass and is, was, and always will be the american way.

oh yeah, and everyone who posted before me has poor grammar. don't make excuses, proof-read what you write before you submit it and expect people to take you seriously. out.
