Current mood: Painful
Well, my back isn't getting any better, if anything, it's getting worse. I might have to get a skin graph and some surgery done. we're suing the insurance company and the city of fort myers.. I had a meeting this morning with a lady from the insurance company and we talked about what happened and everything. I wish we could just get this all over with. This incident might just make me rich though. Last night I was really, really fucked up, i had to take these pills and i was puking and i couldnt even walk. I woke up this morning not able to walk or move really. I hope to god I get better soon.

On another note, I guess we're moving to Tennessee in a week or so. I don't really want to but that's what we're doing anyways. Yesterday we just got brand new 4-wheelers and im getting one once we move.

I guess that's about it for now. later.

that is teh suck, sir. certainly my best wishes for an expeditious convalescence.

Li'l Beaver:

as far as the explosion goes, most likely culprit is an open fuel reservoir... gasoline fumes are more volatile than liquid gasoline itself. even static electricity... a spark of any kind - would be enough to make them ignite instantly.

less likely, i would say fuel getting on hot engine parts and spontaneously combusting. that doesn't make sense to me, because the engines probably weren't warmed up yet. possibly a leak in the tank, or an overfull tank would cause that... or a leaky fuel line or something. but still, flames need oxygen to feed them. there's not enough oxygen in a fuel line to allow the flame to reach the tank. but if the tank is open and uncovered... BAM. there's nothing to stop the flame from igniting the whole thing.

that's my analytical deduction. as far as the source of ignition, i haven't the slightest clue. could be any number of things. but i would say the gas cap was off. that's just my guess.

just about chris, there was a fuel line rupture. the boat was idle for about 10 minutes before it blew. so once we started moving, something sparked and ignited the whole thing, and considering we just filled it with 300 gallons, there was lots of fuel to blow.

hm. i'm still surprised it was a fuel line, but it's certainly plausible.

not much you can do to stop that... tough break.

and i realize that's putting it absurdly lightly. i don't mean to come off as insensitive... i just have a hard time wording it better than that.
