Long time no update so here we go. . .

Thursday: Got off of work as soon as I came in, The power went off on the whole base for about an hour and a half. I got dressed in the dark. Went to the club for Karaoke. I sang about 7 songs or so. I won the prize for best singer, according to the applause-o-meter of the crowd. It was one of those little CD holder things and it says United States Air Force Clubs on it. Nice. I didnt really drink while I was there, and I sat alone. Until... the end of the night when some crazy punks sat with me. They'd seen me at the gym before and aparently i'm distracting when I work out because one of them told me he couldnt stop staring at me and he almost tripped up and fell of the treadmil he was running on. Anyway, I thought it would be really funny if we pulled the chair out from this dude that was so drunk he practically pissed himself and was falling asleep. One guy said "well how punk rock are you... I'll give you a dollar to do it" So I went over and gave it a good jerk. But the problem was the loser was so heavy I couldnt get the chair out. But I got the dollar anyway. It was last call so we got some vodka and had a party in the dorms. They convinced me to eat for the first time in days and it felt really good. We almost started a fight, played lots of bad pool and had a good old time all together. We pulled a lamp out of the wall and it shot out a big fireball. The bulb shattered, and the guys threw it out of the second floor window. Very "rock band trashes hotel" I ended up having to take the guys up and put them to bed. We crashed because everyone was going to be hurting in the morning. The next day we all hung out and watched movies. I met some guy. We had a very nice conversation and I regailed him with tales of my parents. And he told me about meeting Wayne Newton. Saturday, I got up early and took the bus to Aracena on the border of Spain and Portugal. We toured some caves which were pretty interesting. When I got back I napped and then played pool and watched some movies with the guys that i'd met thursday and said goodbye until the next time they come in. Which is like every other week. It's amazing how like everyone on base knows who I am now. Not just because of Karaoke anymore. People are always telling me "hey I see you everywhere, I'm so and so" and people just want to know me. I like that. Best weekend EVER.

Oh in addition to all this someone quoted and linked my site in their blog. Yay, i feel famous now.

People are complaing to me. "Teresa I cant see your webpage!"

The reason for this is simple. Brinkster sucks monkey butt and i'm going to take this brief opportunity to badmouth them. So since their service is more than i'd like to pay, I went and moved my site and did an overhaul on it to a new server that was cheaper. I guess they didnt like this because I can sign on and look at all my files but all my pages have been snatched from your viewing pleasure. They even took off their own add that they stuck on my default page. So, Sorry you cant see all the old crap, but I figure i'm in a new stage of my life anyway and I dont really want to remember all the old stuff. You can now view all my new crap at http://unversedlyric.org

Muchas Gracias.

The holidays are so slow. Everyone does their own thing so I have little or no contact with everyone. I was hurting severely from the gym yesterday so when I got off of work I had three aleve and two glasses of wine. It numbed me up pretty well, aside from the disturbing fact that the Aleve bottle says that if you drink alcohol frequently you may want to consult a doctor before taking it.... and that Aleve causes stomach bleeding.

oh well.

I had the strangest dream ever. I dreamt that I was at home and Tim called me up to go out and visit an old friend Chris from middle/high school. And for some reason we went to a baseball game [I dont really like baseball] and then the two of us got separated and when I found him he gave me the biggest hug and said something along the lines of "I've been in love with you since fouth grade" Which was weird because I didnt know him in fourth grade... I don't recall much after that except there was a part in the dream where I drank bongwater... and liked it. Now I know why not to drink wine and Aleve.

Lesson learned.

Soap Operas
Well I had a fairly decent christmas. My roomate and I got our turkey dinner! Twice! My roomate and I watched "A Muppet Christmas Carol" and we played the Sims all day. We were talking about it with someone and I explained that my "new guy in the neighborhood" is a freaky goth dude and is the second reincarnation of the original guy that moved into the house, and the two others burned up in toasteroven fires. So then he stole the wife of the man next door and shes still in love with both of them but is now married to the new guy and the ghosts of the other two haunt her in her sleep. Meanwhile her ex husband keeps inviting her over and trying to steal her back, but she refuses to accept his proposal.

So as we were talking he came up with this idea that this is where modern soaps on TV originate. Someone's sitting there playing this game and someone else is like "Hey this is good stuff I'd better write it down!" Fun.

My roomate and I also went into Sevilla for some post christmas shopping. This time we didnt get harassed by any of those weird ladys that try to give you twigs and tell your fortune! I spent about 200 euro. And bought fun sweaters. Yay.

My dad sent me a harmonica. He must think it's like prison here. It's not that bad. I went to the gym last night (around 3am) and played on our brand new basketball court. It's better to go when no one else is around so they dont see how bad I suck. Likewise with playing pool.

Merry Christmas
This is the second holiday season i've spent away from home. I remember last year I was in San Antonio at basic training. Our TI said something to us along the lines of "Tomorrow is christmas there's no way in hell i'm going to be here. But maybe i'll bring in a movie for you guys to watch. You know, something christmas-y like... 'Full metal jacket'.

God I'm lonely.

I miss my Sheldon.

Do you know what's pathetic? I can't believe they even did this. It's something reserved for Corona commercials. Someone came up with the bright idea that since we dont have christmasy trees in Spain, it would be 'cool' to put christmas lights on a palm tree... and shape them so that it looks kinda like a christmas tree. First of all on a military base, there's all sorts of permits required to do that. And Second, they have the base of the whole structure marked off with caution tape. How tacky is that?

Happy holidays.

Crazed monkeys couldn't keep me away
I got my new reflective gear in the mail yesterday. I am now the proud owner of a hot pink reflective belt and a blue one as well. You never appreciate these things until you're walking behind an humongous plane and a several ton machine comes barreling at you because he cant see you in the dark.

In other news, I made good on a promise I made over a year ago. I remember promising (sometime around the time the plus accounts emerged) that I would donate the money to this lovely site here. As I was playing with my other site I checked my account. I remember when I didnt have 20 bucks in there. And now i've got 4 accounts to manage my cash. So I decided to donate $100 bucks, because I appreciate this thing being here whenever I need to bitch to a bunch of people I don't know that well. Here's to Andy and another wonderful year on Woohu! <3

There has to be some reason that I feel so out of touch. I'm almost 21 for goodness sake. I definately dont feel like a kid. I hardly feel like an adult. I think i've grown out of that angsty stage. I cant even rightly get depressed like I used to. That's not a bad thing. I guess when you get older you just dont take things as personally anymore. Somehow as a result I cant take much of anything personally. Everything feels so far away.
