Hm. Sad sad day.
I'm really upset that I didn't get in touch with her earlier. I didn't know. :-( My friend and I had the same due dates, but she gave birth to her twin girls. And it's heartbreaking. But I can't talk more about it because I will start crying again.

Reception is tomorrow. I know who is working it! YAY! Abbi and Jon :-) That should be fun!

Baby is kicking really hard and I can actually feel where the baby is and what is kicking/punching. haha. I'm going to be having a diaper party sometime real soon, I will get on the details later.

Holy crap. I can't believe we're almost in the the 3rd trimester already. This is going so fast, which isn't hard to say anymore since I'm not getting so sick anymore. We painted the nursery and soon things will be set up. We have Charlie's old cradle and everything. Charlie can feel the baby now, so that's really wonderful. And I can all the time. It's really neat to know when my baby is awake and when he/she's not.
That was fun having everyone over yesterday! :-) I miss that.
And having this baby makes me miss the good in the world. I miss the pure, true, good that used to be around (like when you were younger). I only want that for our baby. Which is hard, because the bad things are how you learn.
Anyway, I'm kind of rambling. This weekend will be sooooooo great! My parents are at this house on Lk. MI in Muskegon right now and I've seriously wanted to go swimming for a looooooooooong time. YAY for RELAXING!

Almost vacation time!!! :-D
Today Charlie and I watched Chicken Run and ate breakfast in bed (he made us yummy eggs). It was really really nice. My car actually quit while I was in the process of driving it...on the expressway. So that was scary. It was the battery connection and now it's fixed but yikes. I called the doctor this week, I think Tuesday, because I keep getting sick when I try to eat in the morning/afternoon. They told me to come in cause I kept losing weight. I'm still 2 pounds under my original weight and I'm supposed to have gained more. Well, everything is fine, but they prescribed pills and I am not for taking them. Especially because if I didn't have insurance, to get 20 would be about $800 they said. So next week will be the big vacation! Then Friday the 14th is the reception!

We got our 3-D ultrasounds yesterday and it was very wonderful. It's way too early for baby to smile but it does look like it. Baby is wayyy cute already! haha :-) We're so excited! Over half way there...

(Oh, and for those who can't see it well, baby has her/his left hand over that side of her/his face) The other hand is up kind of too.

I LOOOOOVE HIM!
I love being married. The wedding was beautiful. We were all so afraid it would rain because it was raining everywhere else, but it was beautiful out! The park was beautiful with a fountain and flowers and everything. We had a carriage ride afterwards. Our honeymoon was a wonderful time. We stayed at Grand Beach Resort and it was soooo pretty. Everything is going great. This past weekend we had to get an ultrasound, and then this Thursday is our BIG ultrasound. :-) We're so excited. I get lonely cause he gets out of work late but other than that everything is great. :-) We don't have the internet so I may not be online for a while.

Tried on my dress again today. Finished vows. Am going to finish packing. Yikes. :-)
Getting boquets tonight.
I lost a couple more pounds too. Crazy how that works.

Not cool. I haven't been on here in a while. Bridal shower was fun. Moving is, well, moving. Baby is getting much bigger. Wedding is this FRIDAY!!! Honeymoon to who-knows-where! (Surprises!) Exciting. Work could be going a little smoother but ya know. I felt the baby last week and then we went to our appt. and found out the feet are by my belly button so it was definitely the bambino. That was exciting! And the heart rate went from 150s to 150s-160s. Girl! That's what I think at least. Alexis Evelyn Shick. Or for a boy, Caleb James Shick. Anyway, I have to go to bed for I am sick. And tired.

Ahhh I don't feel so well today.
Lots of stuff to do. Charlie and I still have to finish registering at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. Got my hair done last night. Friday is another doctors appt. :) And Saturday Charlie's mommy and sister want to take me out for corset shopping! :-) Lots of fun. Sunday morning Char and I have to finish registering and then the Bridal Shower is in the afternoon. Then I have to pack. Monday we're going to the flea market and then I have to start moving more stuff. I can't BELIEVE next Friday I will be living in a new house and married. Then next weekend is our honeymoon which I have to pack for.
Oh man there is so much stuff to do! I bought Charlie's ring yesterday but they have to special order it. So it's supposed to come in time.
I'm just babbling so that's about it...
Oh and I'm pretty proud of myself, I actually lost weight, not gained, lost! Crazy.

So my internet hasn't really been working.
But I've been working. A lot. Tiredness.
I got this really neat baby-bath thingy. It's a shower/spa bathtub and it looks really nice. I wish I could fit in it. haha.
I almost peed my pants driving home from work Sunday. You know what's the worst? Sneezing while you're driving. You know what's worse than that? Being pregnant and sneezing while you're driving. hahaha.
I just feel like sleeping. Yesterday I was sooooooooooooo excited about watching the Grey's Anatomy finale. Ahhh I even put a reminder in my phone. haha. I love that show! It was so sad :(
Well other than that nothing really is happening. Still getting stuff around at the new house. I can't believe I'm going to be moving out and married in about 2 1/2 weeks. AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN OUR MARRIAGE LICSENSE YET! That could be a problem...

Schools over! Finals are over! Yay! I won't be going back until next year and it's kind of a relief.
Lately I've been busy moving and working. Workin' workin' workin'. It feels like a dream, it just doesn't feel real to be moving. I mean, right now, I know where everything is. Now I'm going to be in a relatively new place where I have no idea where things are besides Meijer and the mall and work. What the heck.
We have a really nice deck and backyard. And rosebushes! I'm fricken nesting already! hahaha. I want everything clean and I'm planning on planting so much and getting things painted and... ah. Crazy. I just want to stay at home and clean and plant and cook. Is that bad? oh my gosh.
By next week I'm 'supposed' to have gained about 5 pounds and i weighed myself today and I've actually lost weight. But that's okay. Everything's healthy.
Anyway, that's about it for now.

Charlie and I went to the Culinary Picnic today! Lots of fun. Egg tosses and water balloons, and waiter races. And I won a raffle. It was at John Ball and it was so nice out, besides the pond smelling like dead fish.
Then we went to the doctor and heard the baby's heartbeat! YAYYYYY. It was amazing. We were both grinning. Dr. Leary said the babies heart rate was in the 150s...so maybe a girl?!? :D YAY
So excited. My ultrasound is coming up quickly too. But now I have to work...

holy crap. when is this sickness going away!? Seriously, going on about 42 days here. I have my ice carving final at one. But I can't really bring myself to get out of the house and go to class. Blah.

Sooooo
It's been quite a while since I've gotten on here. I am SOOOO happy class is almost done. I'll miss the people in my table service class but I'm happy that's over too. It makes for long days! Hmmm. News...
I've been sick for about 40 days straight, every day, every time I wake up. At least I know nothing is wrong, but still. UGH! I'm so glad it'll be gone soon (hopefully). 12 weeks today and Charlie and I get to hear the HEART on friday! WHOOOOO! Also we're going to a picnic for GRCC culinary students which will be a BLAST. This has been a pretty sad weekend due to the passing of a really wonderful grandma, but we know she's in a better place now and watching over us. I wanted her to see an u/s of the baby. I wanted her at our wedding. But that's selfish and she was in pain. So she'll be everywhere now. It was a beautiful day for the funeral (yesterday).
Okay. Okay. I'm gonna cry again.
I didn't go to work tonight because I felt like I was going to be sick any minute. Ugh. Gotta love it. But soon I will be able to feel the baby and that will be awesome!!!!
Alright I have to write a paper now on the Patriot Act. Fun stuff.

I find it funny that they haven't really gone anywhere since I've known them. They're still around. Still hanging out with a younger and younger crowd. What's up with that?

Anyway.
I don't mean to get all sappy and crap. But I had the ultimate best feeling today. I won't get too into it cause I think it's a personal thing for Char and I, but I felt sooo close to the baby. I can't believe I am so close to the 2nd trimester already. It seems to be going fast. I've been sick practically every morning for the past 4 weeks though. So I'm ready to start feeling better.

We bought a duplex and we move on May 6! It's so nice and pretty and at the end of a cauldesac. I'm excited yet I'm going to miss my mom and dad so much. We're so close. :(

Anyway, that's about it for now.

Big buffet project tomorrow. Charlie is coming over soon to help me make Coconut Ice! Dad and I took a Jeep ride. I'm so sad we're selling it :-( We had so much fun with it. Boo hoo. I can't wait till classes are over!!! I'm so tired. I'm taking next semester off for obvious reasons. :-) We go to look at the duplex tomorrow! YAY! I'm so excited! Anyway, that's about it. Ranch potatoes are really good. We did laundry and had tons and tons of socks, and absolutely none of them were matching. My dad is going crazy! hahaha It's too weird.

Wow wow wow. Time flies by so quickly. So things are coming together nicely with the wedding. Fallasburg Park will be the location. It's such a beautiful park! And possibly Applause will cater.
We went to the birthing class the other night. Fun stuff. I can't believe how fast things are going. I have a feeling I'm going to be delivering towards the end of October. Charlie and I are so excited. We found a couple duplexes so we're going to look at one on Monday. Pretty neat stuff. And since I was smart when I was younger and started asking for useful things for Christmas and Birthdays and all that jazz we are almost set with our kitchen. All we need now really is silverware and glassware. I think I want to register tomorrow! I'm excited for both showers! yippee.
My group in Tableservice presents on Monday. We're doing a huge buffet from South Africa. It's sooo cool. Chris and I worked on an ice carving and stuff.
Anyway, that's about it. I'm off to Baby Depot soon to see what they have. :-)

I took a test in Intro now I'm out sooo early. Class doesn't start for another half hour. Tonight is my "what to expect" class and appointment. hm... I'm getting pretty sick of getting sick every single morning. I haven't actually gotten hours at work in a couple weeks. So now I'm working for my dad starting tomorrow. My mom took me to go look at houses and stuff. The only house that we found that was actually really nice and in a kid-friendly neighborhood was also $1200 a month. :-( Depressing. Well, that's about it I suppose...

I think it's all finally sinking in. My gosh, weddings are so detailed and hard to plan. I finally sat down and made a list of things I wanted/needed/people. I've been just putting it off because of the stress. It's going to be a really beautiful wedding! I'm excited. Just a lot of things all happening at once. If I can plan a beautiful wedding in just 2 months, I think it's possible for people to plan it in a year. I'm making a cool vase in ice carving tomorrow night :-) I love that class.
We watched Katriana yesterday and that was fun and interesting.

Holy crap. I had 4 tables at the Heritage today! It was crazy. I'm lucky to have everyone that helps me out. It gets really hectic.
Charlie and I are looking for houses now. I need to get a credit card soon. I'm angry I won't be able to get an ultrasound until 18 to 20 weeks. What is it with that? They don't do them unless something is wrong, but I'd still like to see. Grrrrrrrrr. I'm just happy nothing is wrong. I haven't even gotten sick. Just tired. Charlie's mom is so nice, she said now, everytime she gets paid, she will buy a pack of diapers. :-) Awesome. Can never have too many of those. haha.

Oh yeah, and we were going to wait until next year, but we decided to get married in June! Yay :-) We want this, that's why we're doing it. I think my work, Applause Catering, is going to cater it. And the wedding will be at his Great Grandma's farm, it's really pretty there. More details later...

Oh WOW! It's been an interesting weekend. And a great one.
Saturday Char, Lissa, Katriana and I went to finish registering at Babies R Us. Then Char and I went to a beautiful park and he proposed on a bridge. It was wonderful! Sunday we talked to my parents and they aren't mad or upset. So that is nice. We also went to his Great Grandma's house for dinner. So overall everything in life right now is... right. And great.
Wednesday I have a class at the doctors so I suppose that will be pretty interesting. Tonight at Ice Carving I carved a bowling ball and a pin and everyone went bowling. I carved it only with a chisel too! It was way cool.

Today was busy. The Heritage opened. Ahhhh I helped Chris wait tables. Crazy crazy. Then Government.
Work went late. We went to the Gardens and it was a party for 315 people. The plates looked superb and we got major compliments. whooo! And I found out we won best caterer of w. michigan this year too (& 2003 & 2004) So that was cool.
Tomorrow I work at the Heritage so all those CC kids should stop by sometime.
Saturday Lissa and Katriana and Char and I are all going to go register! FUN STUFF. :-)

And we're really excited.

We told his mom and sister tonight, and I could not have a better family. They are so loving and wonderful, I can't believe it. I just...They are so great! :-)
