Why am I not able to make or look at comments on journals that say friends only? Obviously you have me as friends, because I'm able to read them, but why can't I do anything. It says "you are not authorized to do this!" And that extra exclaimation mark at the end just makes me feel like a fool, as if you guys, personally are yelling at me.

Its weird how long we've been doing this and how long we've all known each other, even if only through journals. What reminded me of it is, last year I asked what I should be for Halloween and Toto told me to be a slut/construction worker. But anyways, I'm asking for suggestions again. But this time there are guidelines. Halloween is Brook's (Matt's (rhythm guitarist) girlfriend) birthday, and she wants to have a party and have us play for her. Since I'll be playing, I can't be anything that'll constrict me from moving around (i.e. huge carrot or something) or that'll disable me from actually playing my instrument (i.e. a gorilla suit with hands) and JJ is going to be PeeWee Herman and Matt will be a woman, so neither of those. But anyways, help would be much appreciated!
P.S. no, i will not be an American Gladiator, i'd rather not wear spandex

You know that Seinfeld episode where Elaine's boyfriend is rendered unfunctionable when the "Desperado" song comes on. Well I feel something similar when U2's "With Or Without You" comes on. It came on, on the radio at work today and I just got the chills. That song has such an immense effect on me.

The Ashlee Simpson show was on last night, and I was half listening to it while I was on the computer. She was whining about being nervous for her first show. The VERY FIRST TIME she was on stage. I looked over my shoulder and saw that she was on a substantial size stage, with quite a large audience. I think thats bullshit. She didn't earn a damn thing. She's famous because her sister is Jessica. Granted I don't know the half of what its like to be a musician, but I've experienced enough and I've read enough to know that it takes musicians years of hard work and gigs at crappy old bars and exactly what Brendan Fraser said in Airheads "Playing your hearts out for 15 minutes and the only people there are the other bands and their girlfriends" I know exactly what thats like. She doesn't deserve the success and fame that has been granted to her. I mean, I could understand if her and her band were spectacular or something. Yeah, they're competant musicians, but it was nothing special that caught my ear, they sound like many other bands out there. It just pisses me off how unfair things are sometimes. She hasn't worked long and hard enough to be the status that she's at now. Spoiled brat.
