Homosexuality has been around since before the bible was written (or dictated, if that's how you see it). It also occurs in nature in some animal species.

Think about this for a second, if the Bible wasn't written by God (or dictated by him) then the whole world is listening to a group of men that died many hundreds of years ago.

I would like to think that we are a lot more accepting of differences in people then we were then, when women were property, had no say in their lives (who they married, where they lived) and oftened died of childbirth before the age of eighteen.
I'm sure you're asking "What does all this have to do with homosexuality?"

Change. It's all about reforming views and being accepting. You don't have to like it (the KKK didn't like it when blacks were given rights), but it's happening, so maybe just try to understand that all they want is the same rights and benefits of their heterosexual counterparts, as well as being able to share unconditional love with their soulmate.

I don't mean to belittle your opinion at all, but I just hope you realize the other side to the matter.

i agree...to an extent. i believe it is wrong and against the Bible. But i also believe it is wrong to judge a person no matter what because that too is against the Bible. so when i say it's wrong i'm not judging the person i'm just saying i don't believe in it. because in all honesty there is this one man who is a family friend and he is the coolest nicest guy and he's gay. but he's still awesome. do you get what i mean?

Everyone deserves to be happy right.. i mean dont we all have the right to pursue happiness?? well what if being gay makes you happy..? are you going to take away all the gay peoples happiness by saying no you cant get married, because its against the bible and blah blah.. well its good that you believe in the bible but some people might not and you should except their beliefs too, and everything happens for a reason so just because its not written in the bible doesnt mean it wasnt supposed to happen. I think that it is gross for 2 women or 2 men to get married, but just because we may disagree w/ it, if it makes them happy let them be happy, everyone only gets one life on this planet, and they arent hurting anyone by doing it, maybe making some people uncomfortable or w/e, but they arent taking away anyone elses rights. And i agree w/ you that everyone has their own opinion and i just read yours and so i hope you read mine and understand where i come from to. I believe in the bible and everything, but im for gay marriges because i think that people should get to choose their own life path and like i said b4 if it makes them happy, let them do it. I get rather heated up in this debate as you might be able to tell, but anyway thanks for reading.

Homosexuality and bisexuality have been around since roman and greek times.

And the cool thing is, no one cares about your opinion.

I support the right for people to be happy. If that means marrying some other man or some other woman, more power to them. Whatever makes them happy. You should learn to do the same.

Now your theory would make sense if this were a country all under one religion, but we aren't, in fact America prides itself on its mixture of religious backgrounds therefore to deny anyone the right to a gay marriage because the bible dosen't agree with it would be a total hypocrisy. Furthermore why should it bother you what someone else wants to do with their life?
