i hear you man. zero can really suck. good thing i've learned to (sort of) function in the mroning. I hope i can pass math though. 7:30 class does not maximize my chances on getting good grades.

Maybe the reason you're depressed about homecoming is because NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT YET! IT IS A FIGMENT OF YOUR IMAGINATION. Seriously, you are the ONLY person I've heard talking about it. Everyone else is busy bitching about their hw still.
And you are loved. even if it's not in an "I want to make out with you" way.

But don't even start talking about love lives. You're liek the only person who's had one. Lol. out of our freinds at least. Well Rachel had a bf, but no one else has, right?

Unless someone has a secret Swahili lover that we don't know about.

lol! and i beg to differ about the homecoming thing. marching band voted yesterday morning for our homecoming court nominees and the seniors have already had their first round of nominations. i take math in the ASB portable and they have homecoming posters everywhere about what the t-shirts'll look like and stuff.

homecoming is closer than you think...AND IT NEEDS TO GO AWAY!! AHHH!! *stresses out*

iv had bfs, but i cant say they were secret swahili lovers... sry louise (? i think that was louise) but yeah, i have to say i also find my lack of a lovelife quite depressing... o well, and iv mentioned hc, but i dont obsess bout it!! dont worry, ur not the only one who needs to find a date- i vote for a date- hunting expedition sumtime soon! and i luv u! but sry not in an i wanna make out w/ u way either haha ~s

Mel i totally agree, i think people are talking about hc, but instead of saying who they might want to go with they are wondering why other people are talking about it. I have had bf's, i dunno i would rather go with a guy friend to hc then a bf, its a different kind of "relationship" and you can have more fun. But yea we do need to go and find some cute guys to go with, and if we cant, then screw it and we can all go together and steal other peoples dates..or not..but still..

Ok yea it is depressing to have like no love life, but still what kind of a love life are you going to have in highschool anyway? Seriosly dont stress mel, there are a lot of guys at our school and im sure you will find one.

meredith, people used to find their HUSBANDS in high school!! I HAVE REASON TO BE FREAKING OUT!! haha.

about the guy friend thing--yeah, i was thinking about that too. too bad all of my guy friends MOVED AWAY in like 5th grade...lol! all of my other guy friends are taken...:-/

besides, now that you've all mentioned making out, I REALLY WANT TO!! LIKE OMG KISS ME RIGHT NOWWWWW!!! haha. no really. my lips need some action. (and NOT on a dare with ricky...lol!)

actually...there IS someone that i'd want to go with...it's just that i don't know him very well (anymore

and the guy...as in the one that everyone has liked once, who walks by us with a freshman girl every day at lunch, that is in mollys spanish class?

Guy friends: TERRANCE, to name one. Mel you have guy friends, from church, marching band, speaking of that..you could go with that freshy lane who you danced with at the back to school dance..hmm

well yeah. PERSONALLY, i'm not looking for a future husband right now. that'd be silly. but i was watching some news special about how teens these days don't like serious relationships and would prefer a friends with benefits kind of thing and how different that is from like 20 years ago when high schoolers looked for their husbands/wives in high school. (which i'm assuming is because many ppl didn't GO to college.)

Terrance: it'd be fun to go with him, but he totally just broke up with one of my friends. that makes him a no. besides, he's not in marching band anymore so i see him like NEVER. i'm not gonna go with someone i don't know very well.

lane: (the hot freshman in marching band that i danced with at the bts dance) he's a player and he has a crush on some freshman girl in orchestra anyway. i totally thought he had a crush on gabi but whatever. besides, i don't know him that well either. no lane.

and ummm....no. not danny. 'i'm not even sure what you meant by that anyway. like as in 'danny is a guy friend that is taken?' cuz no, he's not. he's not a guy friend. or 'danny is the coughcough molly guy'? romeo and juliet, molly, and danny don't go together. i don't even know if they were in the same english class! not quite sure where you got that one...

Okay Melissa. This is a thinking exercise. I want you to give me ten reasons why you NEED a bf. I totally think you are capable of function without one, but you're getting slightly obsessive.
Don't stress about hc. It's only a stupid dance (i know, i know, some ppl think it's not stupid, but i mean HOMECOMING? Who's coming home? And if high school=home for ppl, they need a life. Or a therapist)
And I didn't read Mer's thingy too carefully but you're mentioning molly and danny in the same sentence along with romeo and juliet and just so you know DANNY IS GOING OUT WITH LEIGH! Who he has been drooling over since she shadowed Molly last year.
Anyway, Melissa, I want those ten reasons. Due tomorrow. They have to be GOOD. Make some extras if you don't think yours are going to satisfy me.

but here you are--10 reasons melissa needs a bf (not that i don't agree that i don't really NEED one at all)

1)It would motivate me to go to school every morning. So when I ask myself, what's so great about going to school today? Why bother? I can say, BECAUSE I'LL SEE *soandso*. (I found this worked quite well last year.)

2) So I have someone to have interesting AIM conversations with that might include flirting. Flirting online=tres amusante.

3) So that I can experience being asked to homecoming in a NORMAL way.

4) So that I might get just a tad closer to losing 10 fingers. (Well, I'd at least like to regularly hold someone's hand and kiss and stuff.)

5) I really miss hugs that mean something. I want someone who'll keep me smiling all day if they hug me.

6) So that I know I'm a worthwhile person to be around. I mean, if someone likes you as much as you like them, there's gotta be something about you...

7) So that annoying people who won't leave me alone will HAVE to leave me alone because I'm TAKEN. (Apparently really direct hinting isn't enough for some people...*coughalancough*

8) So that when I'm bored in class I can pine for someone. Right now I'm just like 'damn! i'm bored! i want to go home...' i'd prefer it to be 'damn! i'm bored! i wish i was with soandso right now...'

9) So that I can get a mini-high whenever the phone or doorbell rings cuz it might just be that special someone...

10) So that I'll have someone to talk about on Sundays... (apparently my church gets a kick out of my sad, sad lovelife)

Wow, I would like to clear some things up because I am obviously coming into the conversation a little late. Danny is a FRIEND of mine. I set him up with Leigh... who he is going out with... Yeah, OK. And Melissa, I don't give a care about Scott! I just want him to leave me alone! He had so better not bug me about homecoming! OMG, now I am scared! If you want to ask him, go for it. I would certainly NOT disown you. I might question your sanity....

Okay well Mer was talking about Danny and then you were talking about MOLLY so I was like wtf mate? but whatever. So your reasons thus far!
1)okay that one counts. It is motivating to see ppl you like (of course you can get by on seeing super cool friends too, but i see your point)
2)if that's what you want to do with your free time to amuse yourself, go ahead. You can just flirt in person though. I think that'd be MORE fun, but hey!
3)This point is completely valid. Period.
4)Um, and you need to be able to do this WHY? Why do you want to be the skanky hoe?
5)Hugs are cool.
6)Knowing you're a worthwile person is always goo.d But you should know you're worthwile WITHOUT a bf. But I guess I see your point

(btw, i think u can do better. but thats just my opinion.) as for your reasons, i dont think #6 is valid cuz WE LOVE YOU MEL AND YOU SHULDNT NEED A GUY TO MAKE YOU FEEL THAT WAY. ok, wow that sounds really cliche, but you kno wat i mean. but otherwise, its fun to win at 10 fingers! not that i ever have, but i assume it would be. haha.
