| Im curious. Why is America sending aid to Africa for AIDS relief, and why do I always see commercials for sending money to help countries children that many of us will never visit in our life time. Our own countrymen should be first, not some other backwater country. America started out as a shit country, and we fought our way to the top of worlds food chain. Why are we so concerned with other countries poor and sick, but not our own? we should be helped our own poor and sick before aid for other countries should ever even be considered. Hypocritical at best, in my opinion. I know that it "makes the world a better place", however before we make the world a better place, we should make our homeland one. Dont get me wrong, no child should go without food or medicine, but i care more for an american child then anyother child. Our country has its slums, and its hoods that arent that far off from some tree hut (not ment to be racial, but realistic) villages in Africa. Im not speaking about bums either, bums can burn in hell. Most bums put themselves in the path that their own, however some are born into it. Im talking about the families that use the same shoes and clothes for periods of time that would make most of us cringe. The hard working families that get payed shit, and have to support 2 kids on top of rent, utilites, and food. The families that live in roach infested apartments that were like that years before they even thought about moving into it. Some people dont choose the situation their put into, but they deal with it. They soldier on without anything to look forward to except that maybe their kids will graduate high school, and get a decent job. America needs to return to isolationism. We need to care about ourselves, and our countrymen. Our forefathers worked hard to establish us into one of the greatest, if not the greatest nation the world has ever seen. Yet, people choose to ignore that we have our flaws, and never want to face reality. If you're going to post and belittle my opinion, ill hold my dick straight up and let you caress my balls with your tounge, understand? | |

tails | 03-20-07 3:23am however much sense it does make to keep everything here and help ourselves and such. We cant because America is founded on fighting for a change. we helped ourselves and and now its time for us to help others. most of the money to aids research isn't going to make that big a difference in how our country is up for money. even though we still owe alot. i don't really know. i think we can manage ourselves and still manage to help out a little here and there. |

Im all for helping others and all, but my country, and countrymen come before anyone else. I wouldnt have even posted any of that if there were commercials asking for donations for poor american families. |
