Subject: 24-hour Read-a-thon
I'm gearing up for the 24-hour Read-a-thon, which takes place next Saturday. Today I went to the new West Sac library, which has a distressingly small collection. I got four of the books on my long list, and ordered several of the others from the Davis branch.

What I'll be reading on the big day follows after the link...
The Picture of Dorian Grey, by Oscar Wilde
The Sound and the Fury, by William Faulkner
The Tombs of Atuan, by Ursula K. LeGuin
Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, by James Joyce
The Flying Carpet and The Royal Road to Romance, by Richard Halliburton
Dark Whispers, by Bruce Coville
Billy Budd and Other Stories, by Herman Melville
A Moveable Feast, by Ernest Hemingway
Incarceron, by Catherine Fisher
Othello, by William Shakespeare
Azumanga Daioh, by Azuma Kiyohiko
The Gate of Gods, by Martha Wells
The High King's Tomb, by Kristen Britain
The City of Ember, by Jeanne DuPrau

I also want to find some more mangas, so I can chill out with something easy when I get sick of just looking at text on a page...if I'm doing nothing but reading and posting the occasional blog update, I'm sure it will happen eventually.

This should be a fun event, because I have such a stack of books that I've been meaning to read, and they're pretty varied in genre and style. Yay!
