i noticed something. the flag that's supposed to symbolize the united states (which i refuse to fly because i realize that i hate more americans than i like) has white stripes and red stripes. the white stripes are supposed to symbolize that they are a peacful nation. however the red stripes suggest that although peaceful, don't fuck with them because they'll still kick your ass.

what's the point, charlie, we all knew that?

it's simple really, why the hell are there more red stripes than white? because peace rides bitch to killing people

ordinary people do fucked up things when fucked up things become ordinary
the conservatives rail against social programs saying that they don't need someone to hold their hands for them. but by this logic the government provides us a military to "defend" us. shouldn't we all just buy guns and defend ourselves? the fact of the matter is, the more people are left to rely only upon themselves the weaker the community becomes and unrest increases. humans are communal animals by nature. we're meant to work together and look out for the best interest of the group. not look out for #1 and piss on the rest to get what we want, then blame those people for having been pissed on.

now, we all know that the bush family is rich, but money just doesn't fall out of trees. how did they get rich? well, first there was Prescott Bush, he was the head of an investment company which held controlling interest in many corporations. thanks to FDR's "Trading With The Enemy Act" he got in quite a bit of trouble because the companies he owned were selling supplies and raw materials to Hitler's Third Reich. Then came his song George. George was never much of a business man, he just got appointed to a lot of different positions like director of the CIA (a job he admitted to knowing nothing about), and ambassador to the UN. However, when he was vice president he was part of the administration which did the whole Iran Contra deal, and also sold all those chemical and biological weapons to Saddam Hussein. then there's his son George Bush Jr. Little Georgie, as we all know, was the head of a Texas Oil Company. As we all know a lot of oil comes out of the Mideast. So, who do you think was head of operations for his company in that region of the world? Salem BIN LADEN, brother of the man who has been labelled as satan throughout the western world. Not to mention that many of the smaller suppliers to his company had their assets frozen when he froze the assets of all companies associated with al qaeda. so, not only did he work with the man's brother, he bought oil from companies that dealt with him personally.

great family values there. not to mention the fact that George I throws like a girl...

is this what we deserve?
is this what we deserve?
foreign policy that alienates us from our closest allies and polarizes the entire globe into two factions?
is this what we deserve?
the fact that we've lost 2.3 million jobs in just over 2 years? the fact that our country is going deeper and deeper into debt and we're just handing out money in tax breaks when the logical thing to do would be to raise taxes? it sounds rough, but when you're in debt you get a job and cut your spending
is this what we deserve?
a country where medicine is only available to the very rich or those with insurance. a country where people make a living by taking money from sick people, especially taking more money the more sick the person is?
is this what we deserve?
corrupt politicians who pass legislature that denies nearly all individual rights and label it "PATRIOT." corrupt politicians who throw us in debt and vote themselves a pay raise?
is this what we deserve?
we're Americans, the richest nation in the world, and considered by many the "greatest." we have a collapsing infrastructure, our foreign policy is a joke, and it's only a matter of time until we become a bankrupt land and have to sell ourselves to the highest bidder

i think i've got it all figured out. the U.S. has already bombed a tank and shot down a helicopter manned by men from the U.K.

with all this "friendly fire" no wonder the French and the Germans, and the Russians didn't want to help out

let's look at the facts. there is a world leader whose actions are not supported by the majority of the world, let alone a majority of his own citizens. he has weapons of mass destruction and has made threats on the life of other foreign leaders. he leads a regime based on nationalism and patriotism. anyone who does not support his actions are labelled as traitors. he has enacted legislation that allows his agencies to spy on people and their effects without warrants or any forewarning. and this man is named George W. Bush.

and talk about a need for regime change. maybe the europeans will align and take him out and put in someone who will actually be held accountable to his constituents

well kids, war on the horizon. Herr Bush isn't going to back down for anything, the majority of the European Union hates us and we're doubtlessly going to end up losing some lives. think of it like abortion, a bunch of men who would otherwise have kids will now be killed, thusly terminating the lives of their unborn children. of course there will be plenty of dead people with kids so the orphan rate and number of single parent families will go up. but hey, it's all good for freedom. after all there's a man who killed his own people 20 years ago using weapons sold to it by the amerikan government. a man who ten years ago invaded a foreign nation for personal gain, much like the US moving into mexico and taking what we now call "texas." a man who allows his people to starve based on sanctions imposed by the US. if anyone's the cruel killer it's the US, they've never given Iraq a fair shake and now, even if they do win this "war" (which i don't see being very likely) it's just going to culminate in more terrorism and a higher resentment of the US from foreign nations. someday i hope to have children, i can dress them in their flak jackets and ballistics helmets and send them through the mine field to school. of course this is assuming i don't get drafted. maybe i'm getting ahead of myself, but the last time the united states went into a nation in order to "liberate" it with no real foreign support and only from one front it lasted for 16 years and ended with a huge loss of life. ahhh, but vietnam was so worth it, after all, they were so important to the way the future shaped up for us. so, yeah, lets kill some people, after all, EVERYBODY who comes back from a real war has so many great things to say about it. why, i love hearing stories from my grandpa's friends about how at Normandy they saw men dead five deep on the beach. yay, go war, let's kill people now and have people killed in the future...killing is so rad!

white...riot...i wanna riot!
all i want to do is riot...i suppose it's ironic to have a riot which is usually a violent demonstration in response to what i consider illogical violence, but after all, the government teaches us all that violence is the only way to get anything done anyway.

i just noticed something...it wasn't long before all this war hoopla started that the government started testing nuclear (not "nucular") weapons on Vieques, Puerto Rico. but hey, "weapons of mass destruction" are bad anyway, so what's the point?

how can you ever be content with the way things are? everything can be made better and if you don't try to make a change you're a useless human being and have nothing within you that will ever benefit mankind.

so don't tell me how great the country is, tell me how great it COULD be

This country is driven. Money, Sex, Capitalism, Drugs, Power. It strives on control. Minorities can't do their own thing without the big guy gettin' involved. Askin' for money, taxes.
To them everyone=numbers.
To them
everyone=money.
And even if you don't =money, you equal debt to them. What have they done that's so great that we'd owe them anything at all?
You start to wonder where all this money goes...
I say we do it Homer style and fake our death. If only life was as simple as the Simpson's...

fascism comes to america
For years America has been labeled “land of the free and home of the brave.” Is this true? How free is America? For example, if a person were to say that they believe that the American Government is making strides toward fascism they are commonly imprisoned. One need not even mention names like Mumia Abu Jamal, or Leonard Peltier. America claims to be the land of the free and why shouldn’t it be? After all, they fought so hard to free Nelson Mandela while simultaneously holding political prisoners of her own.
But, where does fascism come into the American scene in the modern era? Most importantly, what is fascism? Simply put, Fascism is a political ideology with three basic tenets:
1. Extreme Nationalism and devotion to the state
2. A corporate economy
3. the raising of one group above another, creating a form of oppression
The most famous fascist state would obviously be Nazi Germany. One may argue that America is nothing like Nazi Germany, they aren’t any camps, or posters, or silly uniforms.
It’s true that America does not utilize any sort of camp to keep a certain mass of people in repression. Instead America utilizes its Nationalism to leave them in a state of oblivious slavery. But, before we get into that, let’s start at the beginning.
It has become a common sight ever since September 11, 2001. It seems their everywhere, flying from cars, hanging from mailboxes, even adorning food court napkins. I am of course talking about the American Flag. It seems that nearly everyone has a flag hanging somewhere, or at least they have a sticker stating “United We Stand” or “God Bless America” or some other catchy slogan. To hear the President speak is to hear mindless rant about how America is the greatest nation on Earth. Although he never provides any points to support these claims it is mindlessly accepted as fact. Political Scientists refer to this extreme support to one’s state as “Super-Nationalism.” And with the lack of evidence given to support these claims is becomes mindless nationalism. Over the years the populace has been subjected to so much drivel lifting their country over all others that they no longer question or wonder why or how they got in this situation. The majority of the people living in America are in a state of total lust for the power that America supposedly holds over the world. Slogans like “America: Love It or Leave It” are beat into all dissenters so that now the very founding principle of America, progress, and evolution to the status of the world is being beaten to the ground. Anyone who questions America’s greatness is shut out, considered a traitor, and isn’t even given a chance to explain their ideas as to how to make America that much better.
Now that we’ve established the presence of a strong sense of nationalism in America we are left to show the status of a “Corporate State.”
In a fascist state the government is seen as a business just like any other. One example given is “you have two cows, the government takes them and sells you the milk.” This seems extreme. But, bear in mind that America is building towards Fascism and is not fully there yet. In America the government sells bonds and collects taxes. Many times these funds are funneled back into public works projects. One example would be the new Ford Field in downtown Detroit. Although it was built with a large amount of public monies in the form of bonds and tax dollars collected in the city of Detroit, if a person wishes to go to a game held in the stadium they still have to pay for their seat for the privilege to use the facility that their money paid for. For years the government has been seen as a big business, and why shouldn’t it be? Most of the seats I the senate are held by members of the wealthiest 20% of the population or by people under their influence. The actions of Lobbyists only push the government under further submission to the wealthy elite.
But, who’s being oppressed? Well, with the government under the control of the wealthiest twenty percent. The same twenty percent who own 80% of the wealth in America, the same twenty percent who hold controlling interest in nearly all publicly traded corporations, the same twenty percent who hold the average working man in a form of wage slavery. To give an example as to how powerful and wealthy these people are, if there were five people in a room and they had a collective wealth of $5, you and I would each have a quarter, as would two other people while one person has $4 on them. I don’t need to explain the difference between twenty-five cents and four dollars. These people are intensely wealthy and they are in power. Obviously since they are the ones in power they are the ones whose interests are considered when making legislation.
Where is the working man for all of this? The working man is taking part in the time-old tradition of “indentured servitude.” Although, the modern form is shrouded to make it look like the working man is independent he is most likely paying a mortgage, along with a car payment to some bank which is incidentally controlled by one of the wealthy. And then if the working man has children he will most likely end up paying some college’s tuition. Although many colleges are state run and funded it is the wealthy 20% who sit on their boards of directors. If the working man were to miss a payment he would be held accountable to huge penalties and phone calls from the representatives of the wealthy 20 to make payment or else! Everyday the working man goes to work, most likely for a large company working only to line the pockets of the wealthy twenty and then he will take his pay check to buy goods produced under the wealthy twenty or to make payments to one of their many institutions. But, why is the working man going to work in a large corporation? It’s simple, the wealthy twenty hold such a control on industry that small businesses just aren’t given a fair shake. We’ve all heard of small privately run stores closing up after being open for years after a Wal-Mart is opened in town. The small independent businessman cannot buy in the quantity of a Wal-Mart and thusly cannot sell at prices as low as those at a Wal-Mart. Their friends would continue to shop at the small store but since the wealthy 20 have kept them in their slavery they have to optimize their money as best they can which means that if they can save $30 on groceries at Wal-Mart that’s another $30 they can spend toward their bills to the wealthy 20.
To make matters worse, “working man” is an antiquated term now. It used to be that a man would be able to support his family on his salary alone. Now his wife is sent to work, as are his children just to help out the family. It wasn’t until very recently when wealth began to polarize into the elite few that workers were so underpaid that women had to work. The only time women did factory work was either during wartime or when they were new immigrants trying to strike out a living in America. Now everyone is like the proverbial poor immigrant.
Obviously the working man is held back in a form of slavery. Much like Nazi Germany where the occupants of camps were forced to build weapons and machinery for the Nazi War Machine, now Americans can live in “private” homes which are owned by banks and build goods and services that will only go to line the pockets of the wealthy rich. The only things missing are uniforms and signs which say “The Working Man Is Our Affliction.” Actually, many jobs require uniforms, from the coveralls of the auto-mechanic, to the suit of the desk jockey. I guess all we’re missing are the signs.
Who would’ve known that despite the apparent movement to the Left that America is actually progressing more and more toward Fascism. Citizens are kept in a state of nationalism complete with flags and fancy slogans, the government makes money off of the money it takes from its citizens, and the average working man is kept in perpetual slavery by the wealthy elite. It smells like Fascism to me.

shoot him, you're better than him
at the age of 18 i wanted to be a man and go to school to get a degree so i could get ahead and live a comfortable life...well, the gov't put it's brand on my ass, a brand that won't go away until i'm 35. that's right, selective service. you see, if i don't fill out my "draft card" i go to jail, and if i do, it gives george bush (hence forth referred to as "asshole #1")free reign to throw me in the army to fight a war that he sees as necessary. things are escalating in iraq, and bush is inevtiably going to to go to war because we don't want saddam hussein to use weapons of mass destruction...doesn't anyone see that going to war will only encourage the use of weapons? we kill his people and suddenly he has a reason to unleash god knows what on the amerikan people. once he does that we're looking at vietnam all over again, i'll be out of school in two years, i'll be 22 then. the average draftee is 26. i won't be able to get out of the draft by getting married until i'm at least 25...and kids are the only sure thing to keep me out and i'll be nearing 30 then. i'll always be at bush's hands for when all the other conscripts are dead and they need fresh meat to throw on the grill. and the worst part...if (or should i say "when") he realizes that this will not be a simple 100 hour war like his father is telling him we can vote him out of office in 2 years and he won't have to pay for it...he'll be long gone and won't have to worry about getting us out of the mess he's put us in. not that it matters much to me, i'll be dead by then, and if that happens i want my epitaph to say "Murdered by George W. Bush, working at the hands of the Republican Party"
