the friday night story
heres how it starts. at lunch we was talking to the mexican foreign exchange students and someone decided to take them downtown.. you know show them a good time. i didnt want to go but w/e. so i get to english and josee (pronounced josay) asks me if i'm going tonight and i said... i have to be up early and i dont want to be out late. but she said she wanted to go and she wanted me to go so she wouldnt be a stranger to the mexican students or something like that. so i agreed because i have a need to please everyone and was gonna go but i get home and remember i have an eye doctor appointment at 7:30. i got home and called her and said it wasnt possible but then my mom said it might be possible if i go from 8-9 and then i called again and said we could go but then my mom changed her mind and i COULDNT go. so i called back and had to disappoint someone which i hate to do! but we're going o do something during the week with the exchange students. so it'll be ok i hope.

SO this is what i've been reading.

EAGLE, Colo. (Reuters) - A 19-year-old woman who accuses basketball star Kobe Bryant (news) of rape pleaded with a judge on Thursday to set a trial date soon, saying she had received hundreds of death threats over the case.

"She has been forced to quit school, she cannot live at home, she cannot talk to her friends, and she has received literally hundreds of phone calls and e-mails threatening either death or mutilation," a motion to the court by her attorney said.

"None of these consequences will end until after this case goes to trial," said the motion prepared by lawyer John Clune.

Now... what the hell is that lawyer talking about? the death threats wont stop even if the case does go to trial. this is a woman accusing kobe bryant of sexual assault.... even if he did it, there are people who wont ever believe it. where ever kobe ends up.. it doesnt matter, because this woman is going to keep getting death threats. she'll get them because shes the one who maybe put a basketball star in jail, or because she put him on trial... where ever this goes she's geting threats.

which is why i feel bad for her. i cant say i'm surprised by all this but i just dont think anyone should get death threats from crazy people who know nothing about the situation. but yeah i just felt like...... expressing my opinion.

today was a pretty rare day. it actually really felt like... school. and i'm pretty confident that i did good on exams except that damn math exam. i hate math. if people want to threaten something then they should target math. because it should die! but it rained today and was nice outside. still a little cold for my liking but nice.

lunch today there was intramural volleyball in the gym so i decided to join that. we were doin alright and played a little out of position at setter but it was ok because i set like the pros. changing the subject.... will got suspended for 3 days. he flipped over a desk and said "fuck you bitch" to the teacher. then he threw a broken pencil at her. he was very mad from her giving him a zero when he didnt cheat.

this feels like a long post. i wonder if it is. i hope everyone is enjoying spring break. hasta luego.
