Mert...
Nothing's really happened. I hate work. I don't want to go back tomorrow, but what can ya do? Like it's honestly not that bad, but then I think about how much I hate standing in one spot (for the most part) for eight hours. My feet hurt so bad all the time from just standing there. That's only that part of it, I have bruises all over and look like a freak... anyway I just HATE cashiering. People are assholes.
Plus, I want an effing check. I don't get paid until the 22nd. I picked the wrong week to friggin start working, no lie. It should be a nice check though, seeing as how it was three weeks worth.

Hopefully I'll get into my schedual pretty soon because I'm dying.

Jake's moved in finally. He asked me to sleep upstairs with him last night, his first night sleeping up there, because it's haunted. No shit, it's scary. We were up all night talking and freaking out because we kept hearing weird things.
He's quickly turning into an even better friend, he's super easy to talk to. It's cool, and we have a ton of shit in common. Plus he can play the shit out of a guitar which is effing awesome.
Ashley's pissed off though, because he and I hang out more than he does with her... she's crazy though. Idk, it makes me feel bad but I'm not going to just shut him out because of it.

Our chat over google this afternoon ended at a totally bad time.

I still need to talk to you...

Okay. A few helpful cashiering tips!

01. GET COMFORTABLE SHOES. Vans totally work if you're standing around in one spot because they're super padded and comfy.

02. Make sure you have anti bacterial stuff and lotion. Your hands will start to feel super gross and get really dry, especially during the winter. Lotion helps tremendously with that, and after touching all that disgusting money, anti bacterial stuff works wonders and makes you feel amazing as well.

03. Pop a couple of advils or something before your shift. Trust me, it works.

04. If you don't like being a cashier, then work your fucking ass off and be the best cashier that you can be. Learn everything you possibly can about the position, and kiss ass to your CSM's. Let them know that you think you would be interested in moving out onto the floor. After a couple of months of proving yourself, changing departments should be no big deal.

05. Make sure you have water with you on your lane. It helps a lot, and if you can afford those little water packet things that makes them taste different [Crystal Light makes them], do that. Or even Gatorade. Being hydrated helps mucho =]

06. Get it through your head right now that customers are fucking assholes, and they're going to be mean. Just think about how good stabbing them would feel, and put a smile on your face. Retail will jade the fuck out of your views on society if you're not already jaded. The nice customers are few and far in between, but it feels damn good when they come through your line.

07. Make friends fast with the other cashiers. Once you have a few people you like working with, work won't seem as bad, and the time tends to go by faster when you work with people you like.

That's pretty much all I have haha. I'm sure I could think of a million more things to tell you, but those are the basics. Walmarts cashiering system is REALLY REALLY easy once you figure it out. I wish I still had all of the produce codes, cuz I would totally pass those on to you. Try to print them out. If I remember, you press "L" on the keyboard, and that will print out the sku's. Write them down in one of those pocket size notebooks. It really comes in handy, and I think your CMS's will like it too =]

Gul huf! <3

I've almost got all the produce codes down, and I am doing really good. I'm far better than the other two girls I started working with, like I get asked how to do shit by them, and the CSM's have totally noticed. My "sponser" guy, Ryan, talked to me and really pumped me up saying I was doing awesomely and shit, so that was a good boost.
But yeah, it's okay, I just really don't like people and so that's killing me.
